School development in the Age of Information

The multinational project was conducted in 1998-1999. It encouraged the schools to take care for themselves before waiting for government-design projects, to clarify local issues and help them to find adequate solutions. Every participating country organized different kinds of project activities that were initiated by the country project coordinators or the schools proposed the activity.

Network of the Baltic countries in use of the ICT

The priority of this project that was implemented in 1999 was given to the program “Development of Teaching Materials. ICT in Education”. As a result the virtual teacher-training centers were established in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

Internet for the project Participants from the Baltic Countries

In conformity the teachers for Baltic countries professional development plan of the Council of Ministers of the Nordic Countries in 1999-2000 the 27 primary and secondary schools, participants of the different Nordic-Baltic projects were connected to the internet.
